I chose to open WFP because I wanted to create a business with a noble purpose where I could combine my entrepreneurial side with my passion for helping people to make wise financial decisions. Prior to founding Columbus Wealth Management, Matthew provided investment advice and financial planning services to over 100 families at his prior firm. He also served as the firm's Director of Research and played a key role in the investment philosophy and portfolio construction which impacted nearly $2B of assets across 800+ households. In addition, he was responsible for various software implementation initiatives, several of which played a critical role in allowing a seamless transition to remote work at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Matthew is always looking for opportunities to improve both personally and professionally. After years of diligent studying and multiple exams, he earned his CFA Charter in 2018 and his CFP marks in 2019. While Matthew isn't afraid to tear into spreadsheets, tax returns, financial statements, and analyze investments, his true passion is meeting with and serving his clients. Clients appreciate his ability to take an incredibly complex situation and break it down into relatable terms that are easy to understand. Matthew lives in downtown Columbus with his partner, Braden. They love spending time with family and friends and staying active. Their top vacation destinations are visiting family in South Carolina and Florida, snowboarding in Colorado, and cruising in the Caribbean!

Andy joined the financial services and planning industry in 1999 shortly after graduating from Villanova University. In his early career, he joined a team of like-minded professionals who traveled throughout the USA consulting and teaching financial planners about the benefits of running fee-only, fiduciary practices, and shared comprehensive planning techniques to help them become better financial planners. After years of seeing clients’ experiences enhanced through consulting to planning firms, Andy felt compelled to start helping clients directly. Starting 2009 as an independent, fee-only financial planner, he has helped hundreds of individuals, families, and businesses throughout the United States and Puerto Rico achieve their financial goals. Andy maintains the professional credentials of the Certified Financial Planner(™) and a Masters in Business Administration. He enjoys traveling, visiting other cultures and is not scared of trying new and interesting cuisine. Andy is an avid guitar enthusiast and volunteers in his church’s worship band weekly. When he isn’t developing financial planning strategies for clients, traveling, or worshiping The Lord, he loves to spend quality time with his wonderful wife, Silvia, and baby boy, Luke.
