About
True Purpose Advisors provides planning and advisory services to individuals, high‑net‑worth clients, business owners, pension and profit‑sharing plans, and other business entities. Services are organized into three tracks — cashflow management coaching, insurance and protection analysis, and asset allocation advice — and clients may engage one or more tracks depending on their needs.
The firm uses a client questionnaire to determine objectives and risk tolerance and assigns accounts to one of seven model portfolios that are implemented primarily through a co‑advisory relationship with Matson Money, using Matson Money platforms and no‑load mutual funds (including funds managed by DFA). Matson Money handles day‑to‑day trading, rebalancing and proxy voting while True Purpose provides client counseling, reporting and coordination of implementation.
Notable distinctions include the firm’s ongoing life‑insurance agency contracts and brokerage appointments that support commission‑based insurance product sales and, in some cases, use of variable insurance products as hybrid investment/protection strategies; the firm discloses and coordinates these insurance relationships. The firm also does not perform in‑house portfolio management for individual client accounts, relying instead on its Matson Money co‑adviser to execute and manage model allocations, a structure that differs from many independent solo advisers.
