The firm manages pooled investment vehicles intended for sophisticated and institutional investors and, historically, also advised discretionary separately managed accounts for institutions. As of December 2025 the adviser is in the process of winding down its business and is not accepting new investors.

Investment strategy historically focused on gold, precious metals and mining-related securities on a global basis, using a fundamental-value approach supported by a proprietary valuation database built from due-diligence visits and geological, operational, financial and corporate-finance models. The adviser employed hedging, derivatives (including swaps and options), commodity futures, short positions and leverage as portfolio tools and operated pooled vehicles that could be structured as master-feeder arrangements; it is currently participating in sell-only transactions while winding down.

Noteworthy for a firm of its type and size, the adviser had used borrowing and derivatives in separately managed accounts and negotiated side letters that granted select investors special rights (for example, fee adjustments, unique redemption terms, or enhanced reporting). The firm also engaged with institutional investor types and practices—such as capital introduction arrangements and investor-specific agreements—more commonly associated with corporate or pension investors, and maintains formal compliance controls (including a Code of Ethics with preclearance and blackout rules for trading in precious-metals securities).
