About

Styra Wealth Management is a fee-only advisory firm that serves individual and high-net-worth clients with ongoing financial planning and discretionary wealth management, offered alongside project-based and hourly planning. The firm also provides tax return preparation and retirement plan consulting for plan sponsors as part of its service menu.

Investment decisions are guided by asset-allocation principles and Modern Portfolio Theory, with portfolios constructed from a mix of equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and ETFs using both passive and active strategies to match each client’s objectives and risk tolerance. For clients who engage Ongoing Wealth Management, the firm provides discretionary implementation, regular monitoring and rebalancing, and non-discretionary advice on held-away employer plans and Solo 401(k) trusts.

What distinguishes the firm from many independent peers is its provision of pension consulting and ERISA-focused retirement plan services (acknowledging a 3(21)-style fiduciary role for plan matters), together with tax return preparation and non-investment consulting to CPA firms. Those combined capabilities reflect the principal’s tax and accounting background and create service and referral interactions that are less common among similarly structured independent advisors.

Styra Wealth Management

I founded Styra Wealth Management because I wanted to do this work the right way: clear advice, strong execution, and a relationship that actually makes clients' lives easier. My core values are clarity and stewardship. Medical professionals carry enough complexity and responsibility already. My job is to simplify the money side, so you can make confident decisions and feel in control of your financial life. I work primarily with physicians, APPs, and other medical professionals who want their retirement to feel like a controlled descent down a mountain instead of a leap of faith. High income helps, but doesn't automatically create a great outcome. Between taxes, student loans, investing, and major life decisions, it can be hard to get a single, coordinated strategy that ties it all together. That's why I pair tax-efficient retirement planning with tax preparation. Planning is both technical and behavioral. We'll dig into the numbers, including cash flow, savings targets, investments, risk management, and retirement projections. Then we'll translate that into an actionable roadmap of the best next steps so there's no second-guessing. And beyond the numbers we'll also work through what you want your life and retirement to look like, and what "enough" means for you. My role is to collaborate, guide, and help you execute a plan for a life you love, and continue refining it as life changes. I look forward to learning what's most important to you, and where you want to go.
