About

SageView serves retirement plan sponsors and fiduciaries (both ERISA and non‑ERISA plans), plan participants, employers and individual investors, providing retirement plan consulting, retirement plan asset management, participant services, investment management and financial planning. The firm’s service set includes plan‑level consulting and 3(38) discretionary management, pooled employer plan (PEP) participation, an automatic rollover IRA solution (Integrity IRA®), and participant‑facing managed account and education programs.

The firm operates across a mix of discretionary and non‑discretionary engagements and reports a substantial majority of its assets under management as non‑discretionary (approximately $201.3 billion non‑discretionary versus $37.3 billion discretionary as of December 31, 2024). For individual and participant accounts SageView uses centrally managed model portfolios (strategic and dynamic), allocates to third‑party managers when appropriate, and implements participant solutions through partnerships and technology platforms such as Morningstar, Empower, Transamerica and Pontera.

What distinguishes SageView from many peers is the breadth of its integrated retirement ecosystem and its firm affiliations: some advisory representatives are dually registered as broker‑dealers’ registered representatives and the firm discloses that certain advisors sell commissionable securities and insurance products through an affiliated insurance entity (New SIS), and the firm is affiliated with a pension consulting/TPA entity (SVRPC). Those relationships, together with its PEP offering, participant managed‑account programs and custodial/recordkeeper integrations, create an operating model that combines plan consulting, recordkeeper coordination and product distribution in ways the firm discloses as potential conflicts and manages through policies.
