About
Fountainhead Financial Management provides financial planning and consulting and custom 401(k)/403(b) participant allocation advice to individuals, plan participants, trusts, estates and nonprofit organizations. The firm prepares written financial plans and quarterly allocation recommendations but does not manage client assets or accept custody of client funds.
The adviser builds investment policy statements for retirement plan participants and recommends mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, equities and fixed income, applying both fundamental and technical analysis and adaptive-tactical allocation where appropriate. Planning and allocation services are delivered on a fixed- or hourly-fee basis, with implementation and trading generally routed through broker-dealer channels and subject to separate transaction costs.
Notably, the firm is affiliated with a broker-dealer (LPL Financial) and conducts commodity/futures activity through an introducing broker arrangement and a futures commission merchant (ADM Investor Services), relationships that can generate brokerage and futures commissions in addition to planning fees. The combination of a fixed/hourly fee model, the absence of percentage-of-AUM billing, and the receipt of insurance, brokerage and futures-related compensation distinguishes the firm from many peers and is disclosed as a potential conflict of interest.
