About

Fiduciary Counselling, Inc. provides investment advisory, accounting, tax, trust, estate planning and estate administration services to a range of clients, including individuals, trusts, charitable organizations, corporations, a registered investment adviser and a registered investment company. The firm also performs clerical and administrative services such as bill-paying, payroll and tax return preparation and offers bespoke “extraordinary services” at client request.

FCI implements advice primarily through model portfolios driven by its asset allocation methodology and capital market assumptions, using a mix of registered and unregistered funds, ETFs, private investments and, when appropriate, digital assets and sustainable strategies. As of December 31, 2025, FCI reported approximately $4.4 billion in discretionary assets and $5.6 billion in non-discretionary assets, reflecting a larger-than-typical portion of assets managed on a non-discretionary basis.

The firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cassiopeia Holdings Company and has close operational and contractual relationships with related entities, including a private trust company (FSC) and Clearwater Management Co. (CMC), for which FCI provides subadvisory, compliance and administrative services to the Trust and Private Funds; it also serves other investment adviser clients and, in some cases, descendants and family members of a single family and their related entities. These intercompany roles and the firm’s facilitation of private placements and specialized administrative services create potential conflicts that FCI discloses and manages through board oversight, its compliance program and internal policies.
