Farther serves individual investors, trusts, and estates through a technology-driven advisory Platform and by direct meetings with firm representatives. It offers discretionary investment management on a wrap-fee basis, retirement plan consulting (including 3(21) services), and non-discretionary recommendations for private investment funds.

The firm’s investment approach is grounded in Modern Portfolio Theory and implemented using a mix of bespoke allocations or proprietary algorithmic model portfolios, with automatic rebalancing (generally when allocations deviate about 5% from targets) and treatment of cash as an asset class. Farther primarily allocates among ETFs, mutual funds, individual equities and fixed income, may use unaffiliated independent managers, and does not exercise discretionary authority to purchase cryptocurrencies for client accounts.
