I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Grew up camping, riding bikes, swimming, making friends and appreciating the beauty of the desert. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors of Science in International Hospitality Management. This curriculum sparked my interest in finance. After graduation, I worked for the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale as an Operations Manager and then I progressed to the Accounting Team. Early in my career, each evening, I found myself reading about investments and markets. I lived through the Global Financial Crisis. This event shaped my thinking significantly. The experience of taking risk, enduring loss of capital and recovering, motivated me through a journey of learning. Along the way I was influenced by several voices (Jim Rickards, Raoul Pal, Dr. Chris Martenson, Jack Bogle, Jim Bianco, Ray Dalio and many more). I progressed in my career and moved to Vanguard, where I served for nearly 9 years. The majority of that time I served clients as a dedicated financial advisor in the Personal Advisor Service. Clients trusted Vanguard and I, in no small part because of the sensibility and legacy of it’s Founder, Jack Bogle. During my work at Vanguard I told Vanguard’s Story and espoused their beliefs about the future. In mid 2022 I resigned from Vanguard, on good terms, to found my own enterprise: CRB Strategic Services. Now, I will tell my own story. A narrative that depicts wealth even more broadly, in all of its forms, including Living, Knowledge, Material and Emotional Capital. Through study, I have developed a view that the next 20 years are unlikely to look and feel as the last 20 years have. Thereby, clients will need advice that many other firms, for various reasons, refuse to provide. I believe that most of us already sense that our world and society are changing and so I believe that CRB Strategic Services is in the right place at the right time to deliver clients to the most resilient and prosperous financial and life outcomes possible.
