About

Colarion provides discretionary and non-discretionary asset management and investment advice to individuals, high‑net‑worth clients, corporations, trusts, estates and charitable organizations under written agreements. The firm also serves as adviser and general partner to a private pooled vehicle, the Mint Financial Sector Fund, LP, and manages both separate client accounts and pooled-vehicle assets.

The firm combines fundamental and technical analysis and implements long‑ and short‑term positions, frequent trading when appropriate, options strategies and short sales, tailoring portfolios to clients’ financial situations, objectives and risk tolerances. Colarion manages accounts on a discretionary basis, allocates aggregated trades pro rata when block trading, and notes that the Mint Partnership may pursue related but different strategies — including private placements and more frequent hedging — than individual client accounts.

What distinguishes Colarion from many peers is its role as a private fund adviser and manager of a pooled vehicle, with the Mint Partnership subject to performance-based compensation (a 20% incentive above a high‑water mark and a 1.5% management fee for partners) and use of a third‑party fund administrator. The firm also provides position and performance reports to clients on request and maintains institutional custody relationships (Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab and RBC) that provide access to institutional trading, reporting and practice‑management resources.
