About
Co-Missions Financial Planning serves individuals, high-net-worth clients, institutions, trusts and estates, offering comprehensive written financial plans, ongoing planning subscriptions, and discretionary portfolio management billed on an AUM basis. Clients work one-on-one with a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who prepares detailed plans addressing cash flow, insurance, tax, retirement, estate and business planning and coordinates with other advisors when appropriate.
The firm’s investment approach combines top-down quantitative analysis (including mean-variance optimization) with bottom-up qualitative evaluation of managers and securities to construct IPS-driven portfolios. Portfolios may use mutual funds, ETFs, third‑party managers and, for accredited investors, select private investments, with the firm accommodating ESG/ETI/SRI preferences and client-imposed restrictions and conducting periodic reviews at least annually.
Compared with many solo independent advisers, Co‑Missions is noteworthy for explicitly serving institutional clients and for offering educational seminars and workshops, in addition to occasional pro‑bono engagements. The brochure also notes the firm’s participation on the Schwab Advisor Services platform, which provides institutional resources and educational conferences that support its custody and service recommendations.
