About
The firm provides financial planning and general financial consulting to individuals, high‑net‑worth clients, and entities such as trusts and estates. Financial planning is delivered as a written report covering topics like taxes, retirement, insurance, estate and education planning, and implementation of recommendations is left to the client and other professionals unless the client elects otherwise.
Investment advice is generally non‑discretionary and often generic in nature, emphasizing asset allocation, mutual fund and ETF analysis, manager selection and other fund‑level considerations rather than ongoing, security‑by‑security portfolio management. The firm does not monitor client accounts on a continual basis, and when clients want implementation the principal can facilitate execution through separate brokerage or advisory programs for which the principal is separately licensed.
Noteworthy differences from many peers are that the firm does not provide portfolio management for individual accounts and does not charge percentage‑of‑assets‑under‑management fees, instead using an hourly/direct‑billing model and not deducting fees from custody accounts. The principal also operates in multiple capacities (registered representative and investment adviser representative of an unaffiliated broker‑dealer/adviser and as a licensed insurance agent), which the brochure discloses as potential conflicts of interest, and the firm’s brochure notes a very small active client base and a minor non‑advisory activity of renting extra office space.
