Ardent Capital Management provides discretionary investment management to individuals, pension and profit-sharing plans, trusts, and business entities, managing separate accounts and advising on a broad set of securities including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and options. The firm generally maintains a $3 million account minimum (with exceptions for IRAs or qualified plans) and oversees both discretionary accounts and a small number of non-discretionary accounts.

The firm’s investment process emphasizes fundamental research to evaluate company quality, capital strength, and competitive position, and portfolios are constructed to align with each client’s written objectives, risk tolerance, income and liquidity needs. Ardent uses a range of instruments—stocks, preferreds, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs—and incorporates derivatives (including covered calls, puts, and a derivative overlay on concentrated positions) as part of portfolio management where appropriate.

Notably, Ardent previously sponsored and managed a private fund (the ACM Opportunity Fund) but closed that fund effective October 31, 2025 and discloses it is no longer serving as the investment manager to that private fund. The firm’s use of derivatives in separately managed accounts and its prior role in pooled/private vehicles are atypical for peers of this size, and it states that it does not accept performance-based fee arrangements.
