About

Archer Row Advisory provides discretionary investment management and related advisory services to individuals (including high-net-worth clients), trusts, estates, small businesses and other clients, and offers financial planning assistance at no additional charge. Client assets are managed through client-designated custodial accounts and the firm generally implements strategies on a discretionary basis.

The firm’s investment approach favors diversified, low-cost passive instruments and infrequent trading while retaining the flexibility to pursue opportunistic value and tactical shifts (for example, reallocating between growth and value, adjusting bond exposure when real yields changed, or replacing higher-cost ETFs with lower-cost alternatives in non-taxable accounts). Archer Row also evaluates and, with client consent, uses alternative investments (private credit, BDCs, mortgage REITs), and since 2025 has been building capability to use futures and options for hedging or to offer “box spread” financing as a collateralized alternative to margin on a client-by-client basis.

Compared with many solo independent advisers, the firm manages a relatively large asset base for a very small client roster — a structure that enables individualized portfolio and private-investment allocations and that includes a policy of often co-investing alongside clients in limited opportunities. The firm also provides separate consulting services to financial institutions (subject to confidentiality protections) and maintains an explicit contingency/succession plan identifying a successor manager in the event the principal is unable to continue, which are notable features for a one-advisor practice.
