About

Morgan Stanley Institutional Investment Advisors LLC’s Fiduciary Consulting Group provides customized fiduciary and investment consulting services to institutional clients, including municipal and corporate retirement plans, non‑qualified deferred compensation plans, plan sponsors and other plan fiduciaries, corporate accounts, charitable institutions, foundations, endowments, and governmental entities. Services include investment manager and fund selection, ongoing monitoring and due diligence, investment policy statement creation or review, asset allocation analysis, pension risk transfer and fiduciary education and training.

FCG delivers both non‑discretionary and discretionary advisory engagements tailored to client needs, with an investment committee conducting qualitative and quantitative manager research across mutual funds, collective investment trusts, insurance products, separately managed accounts, ETFs, hedge funds and private equity. For its retirement plan and long‑horizon clients the firm emphasizes ongoing manager monitoring and periodic reviews—typically conducted via conference calls and, when appropriate, in‑person meetings—and documents findings through written quarterly reports.

MSIIA is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley and operates within the broader Morgan Stanley platform, which includes registered broker‑dealer and asset management affiliates and entities engaged in trading of foreign exchange, commodities and structured financial products; MSIIA discloses those affiliate relationships and may refer clients to affiliates. The combination of pension consulting and pension risk transfer services, an explicit focus on public and municipal plan clients, and the provision of fiduciary education and training differentiates FCG’s advisory offering within the market of managers serving pooled and institutional assets.
