Brandywine Managers, LLC

Brandywine Managers, LLC provides investment supervisory services to privately offered pooled vehicles organized as limited partnerships or limited liability companies, including Proprietary Funds and family-limited partnerships. The Adviser’s clients consist primarily of those pooled vehicles, and substantially all investors in the Funds are clients of its affiliate, Brandywine Trust Company, LLC, which participates in capital contributions and custodial/accounting roles.

The firm operates primarily as a fund-of-funds and, to a lesser extent, a manager-of-managers, investing in private investment funds and separately managed accounts rather than selecting individual securities; its analysis emphasizes due diligence on portfolio managers’ strategies, personnel and processes. Investment decisions for the Funds are made on a discretionary basis by the Adviser’s management bodies with recommendations from Brandywine Group Advisors’ Investment Committee, and certain Funds pay performance-based allocations to the Adviser.

What is distinctive about the firm is its close operational and financial integration with Brandywine Trust Company — a Delaware non‑deposit trust company supervised by the state bank commissioner that serves as qualified custodian, accounting agent, and a primary source of investor capital for the Funds. The Adviser also routinely selects and allocates among external Portfolio Managers, may grant negotiated side‑letter terms to specific investors, and has allocation practices that can prioritize filling prior proprietary private equity vehicles before committing to subsequent funds.
