Approach Financial Planning

Get clarity on your finances. Figure out when you can retire, what you're on track for, how much you can spend, when to take Social Security, how to invest your retirement nest egg, and more. Whether we do detailed planning or you just want to ask some questions, you'll be better informed. We generally take stock of your resources like Social Security or pension income, plus any assets earmarked for retirement. Then, we review your projected spending, including potential changes to spending over time. All the while, we keep taxes, investment returns, inflation, and other factors top-of-mind. And we can run various what-if scenarios to take an optimistic or pessimistic view—or just explore possibilities. How do we work together? It's your choice: Do it yourself, or have me handle your investments—you are not required to transfer assets or invest any minimum amount. Options include flat-fee or one-time project work, asset management, and other arrangements. You can choose a model that meets your needs and feels right for you. Get a second set of eyes, ask a few questions online, get a quick investment review, or go with an ongoing relationship. With that information, you can make informed decisions. Can you retire early? How much can you spend after taxes? Does it make sense to pursue strategies like Roth IRA conversions (to avoid IRMAA surcharges and manage taxes)? Are annuities worth looking at, and should you keep the products somebody else sold you? When it comes to investing, I favor a simple approach. Portfolios and recommendations are primarily index-based, consisting of mutual funds or ETFs. I do not receive any commissions for selling products, and I'm not a fan of active trading or picking individual stocks. Let's get things figured out so you can move on to more important things in life. Whether you prefer to spend time with loved ones, get outdoors, or enjoy other pursuits, completing those necessary financial tasks makes it easier. I earned an MBA and MSIS from the University of Colorado in 2003 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2010. I first got licensed with a financial firm in 2000. I’ve also written about personal finance, loans, insurance, retirement, early retirement, and more for the past 15+ years. Let’s talk! Folse Financial

My name is Cameron Folse, and I am the founder of Folse Financial. I believe that professional financial advice should be simple and streamlined. Our focus is on flat fees, a modern digital experience, and fiduciary advice. After over 6 years in the financial services industry, I realized that the industry has a transparency problem. Many clients do not know how much they pay their advisor, either through insurance commissions or through investment management fees. Whether the fees are high, low, or just right, people should know exactly how much they are paying so they can be able to decide for themselves if what they are paying for is worth it. That is why Folse Financial is founded on flat, clear fees that are based on the complexity of your situation, not how much you decide to invest with us. I also pride myself on giving fiduciary advice. One thing many people don't know is that some advisors are not always fiduciaries. Some advisors wear several hats, and are only legally fiduciaries when making certain types of recommendations. With the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, we are required to be fiduciaries at all times. In today's world, it's not enough to have transparent fees and give excellent advice. Clients also deserve a digital experience as well. We have set up systems to allow clients to view their entire financial picture in one place and allow them to track their progress towards their planning goals. The process of opening accounts and signing paperwork is entirely digitalized, saving hours of time for my clients and for myself. These are our 3 focuses for our business. Let us know if there's a way we can help you!

You'll feel confindent you are set up to retire according to plan. You will have your affairs in order to take care of those you care about after you are gone. Life changes and so do financial plans. We are with you every step of the way and always only a phone call away. You'll likely enter tax season feeling more prepared than ever and really good about the tax savings strategies that are part of your plan. We also help you with the human side of financial planning. At times the emotions that money can bring out could lead you down a trail that takes you away from your intended desination. We'll guide you along the path that leads to where you want to go. With all that being said, we do prefer to have an ongoing relationship with our clients and offer our services at a transparent flat-fee rate. We've learned many don't understand what their investments cost them or how their advisor gets paid. Here it is crystal clear and extremely fair. If you are a DIY investor, or just not quite ready for full comprehensive planning, we do offer as-needed services at an hourly rate. Just give the office a call, explain what you need help with, and we'll get you a quote for our services. If you choose to have us manage your investments, that is including in the flat-fee, and can be taken from your investment accounts or paid by ACH. You can call for a quick ten minute touch point if you just want to touch base first, and your next step would be to schedule a complimentary meeting where we can compare notes and see if working together seems to make sense.
