In 2008, at the peak of the recession, I lost my mother to cancer in August and my father to a broken heart in November. In 2010, my paternal grandmother passed from a stroke. In 2012, I lost my oldest child. Based on those tragic events, I changed the trajectory of my career to solely help families and individuals in grief. I decided to further my education in the field of life transitions and grief. I became a Certified Financial Transitionist®, to help clients navigate through major life events and the financial transitions that accompany them. I’ve helped over 400 families navigate many financial issues and life circumstances such as grieving loss of loved ones. As a second-generation American, I feel a strong drive to repay my parents for the sacrifices they made to give my brother and I the opportunities they never had. Seeing how hard my parents worked to provide for our family, I became fascinated with all things personal finance at an early age. I named my firm “Paradox” because, despite the fact that financial health is one of the most important things in life, financial education is almost entirely neglected! My passion and curiosity led me to pursue and receive a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Florida. From there, I embarked on a nearly decade-long journey as a traditional financial advisor. Along with an amazing team of individuals at Merrill, I worked hard to act in my client’s best interest every step of the way, yet I knew I couldn’t offer my most advanced solutions. The traditional fee-only assets-under-management model of financial advising just didn’t allow for the in-depth, no-stone-left-unturned approach I was looking for. All of that changed when I discovered the model of the advice-only financial advisor, which puts financial planning front and center for a flat fee. My goal is to educate and empower you to achieve your goals, not to manage as many of your assets as possible. This way, you can rest assured that I am incentivized to do what I believe will work best for you, not what will earn me the most fees. We’ll go over everything that contributes to your unique financial picture (that includes things like early retirement strategies, real estate, and familial obligations, to name a few). Along the way, I’ll teach you as much as you want to learn so that you can make informed decisions for yourself moving forward. Financial planning has been my life’s passion, and I’m so grateful to serve my clients. As a fiduciary and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I am committed to creating holistic, sophisticated plans for my clients so they can become financially independent.

I like to keep things simple, focus on what we can control and continuously strive to deliver better than expected outcomes. I seek first to understand, then work together with a client to craft plans, put those plans into action and review them regularly. Am I perfect? By no means. Yet, I will continue to try my very best for the clients I serve. Clients usually come to me needing help answering questions on their mind. Some of the top questions are: • Am I on track? • Am I doing the right things? • Am I missing anything? I have spent 10 + years helping address these questions and more. While working with a diverse mix of clients over the years, I have spent a considerable amount of time helping these types of clients: • Near retirees looking to retire before 65 • Disney executives and cast members • Academics that work for the State of Florida system In addition to on-the-job experience, I am a firm believer in continuous learning. As such, my undergrad is in Physics, my Master’s degree is in Personal Financial Planning, I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ and consume hours of continuing education each year. Personally, I am a Christian, a husband, a dad and have two dogs. I enjoy reading, playing acoustic guitar, hiking, Gator sports, Disney theme parks, playing pickup basketball and serving wherever I am needed at church.

I believe that a person or family should feel okay with enjoying the life we have now and not feel burdened with fear that there may not be enough for tomorrow. By working together we can identify goals, develop a plan, and monitor and update that plan as necessary to achieve long-term financial security without sacrificing the things that are important today. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, cook, and play golf. I reside in Central Florida with my wife and two children but have clients all over the country. I have been involved in Florida Citrus Sports for over 10 years and have been on the Board of Directors for the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce for over 5 years.
