Mark Winberg serves as the Senior Resident Director and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill’s Duluth office. He co-leads the Anderson Winberg Group and has been with Merrill since 1997, following completion of an internship program in 1996. Mark specializes in family wealth management strategies, legacy planning, personal retirement planning, portfolio management, and services tailored to endowments, foundations, non-profits, defined benefit plans, and small businesses.
Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He holds several professional designations, including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® (CPFA), Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Benefits Consultant (RBC). He is also a professional member of the National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices (NABCAP).
Outside of his professional work, Mark is involved in his community in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, volunteering with Benjamin’s House and the Boys and Girls Club. He is active in outdoor and water sports such as downhill skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, and coaching youth baseball and softball. Mark and his wife enjoy spending time at their lake home with their three grown children.
