Beginning his career as a firefighter in 1996, James developed a passion for financial planning through his involvement with his pension plan. Transitioning into a financial advisor, he focuses on serving first responders such as firefighters and police officers in Florida, leveraging his expertise in defined benefit plans to offer experienced guidance. As a retired Battalion Chief with the Miramar Fire Department and Trustee on the pension fund for Miramar Firefighters, James remains deeply committed to his community. In 2010, he co-founded an independent firm, prioritizing conflict-free advice and client trust. Scott Kauffman serves as Senior Resident Director and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where he has been a financial advisor since 1997. He leads the Weston, Florida office, having previously directed the Coral Springs office from 2004 to 2014. Scott’s approach centers on customized wealth management, estate planning, and trust services through resources at Bank of America Private Bank. In addition to providing traditional advice, he is a qualified Portfolio Manager managing personalized strategies that include individual securities, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investments. Scott holds multiple professional designations, including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA™), Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Benefits Consultant (RBC). He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida. Throughout his career, Scott has been recognized by Forbes in its Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list for 2018, 2019, and 2020, which reflects industry experience, client retention, credentials, and other quantitative and qualitative measures. Outside of work, Scott enjoys boating, hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Kevin King is a Planning Consultant at Fidelity Investments, a role he has held since 2025. He assists clients in working toward achieving and securing their financial futures by understanding their objectives, concerns, and financial situations. Kevin provides personalized strategies through tailored investment guidance and holistic financial planning. Kevin's professional experience includes roles at Fidelity Investments since 2023, progressing from Workplace Planning Consultant I to II before his current position. Prior to joining Fidelity, he worked as an Insurance Producer at Farmers Insurance from 2021 to 2022 and as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual in 2021.

Jorge Cayon serves as a Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. In this role, he works directly with clients to develop personalized financial strategies that align with their unique priorities and ambitions. Jorge focuses on helping clients plan for significant life events such as funding education, managing retirement and healthcare costs, and securing long-term family goals through customized portfolio strategies. With expertise in addressing the diverse financial demands individuals face—ranging from home buying and college savings to eldercare and healthcare preparation—Jorge provides ongoing advice tailored to each client's evolving situation. He holds the Personal Investment Advisor (PIA) designation and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Miami International University of Art & Design.
