Gregory Mead is a Wealth Management Advisor and the founder and lead advisor for the Mead Group at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Since beginning his career in financial services in 2001, he has focused on setting the overall direction for his team and developing investment strategies to support clients’ financial goals. He serves as a qualified Portfolio Manager within the Merrill Investment Advisory Program, managing personalized and defined discretionary strategies. Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University, where he graduated with High Honors and a 4.0 GPA. Greg has been recognized multiple times on the Forbes "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" list from 2019 through 2023. His areas of expertise include family wealth management, college education planning, retirement income, tax minimization, socially responsible and ESG investing, and philanthropic planning.
Actively involved in his community, Greg serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kalamazoo as well as on the Board of Directors for the West Michigan Spartans Alumni Association. He has also contributed as a member of the Finance Committee for the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Greg lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his wife Angela and their three sons. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, volleyball, biking, boating, and spending time with his family.
