Hi, I’m Matt. My job as a financial planner is to make your life simpler. To help you efficiently and effectively narrow down your options, so you can make the right decisions. And be confident in those decisions for the long-term. Financial planning and investment management are often muddied by unnecessary complexity (usually in an effort to sell you something). It doesn’t need to be this way. I began my career in the financial services industry in 2003 as an analyst with the due diligence law firm Snyder Kearney, LLC (Columbia, MD). At Snyder Kearney, I reviewed public and private securities offerings and evaluated national securities sponsoring companies, focusing on real estate investments and non-traditional investment products. It was there that I realized that I wanted to know more about the practice of law and a lot more about the pretty co-worker in the cubicle next to me, Sylvie. I earned my law degree in 2007 from the University of Baltimore School of Law and married Sylvie in 2008; further proof that education and personal relationships are the investments that produce the best returns. After law school, I practiced law with the firm David Albert & Associates, LLC (Bethesda, MD), focusing in estate planning and administration, guardianship administration, taxation of estates and trusts, and business formations. There, I recognized that helping clients through complicated and often stressful issues was intellectually stimulating and emotionally fulfilling. In 2010, I opened Patuxent Financial Partners, LLC, registered as an Investment Adviser with the State of Maryland in 2017. Here, I leverage my legal background to provide clients with value-added insight in the overlapping areas of estate and financial planning. More importantly, as a personal financial planner and small business owner, I can build lasting relationships with clients and their families; these connections make my work fulfilling, because client success becomes intertwined with my own. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and hold the FINRA Series 65 securities registration. Raised in Columbia, Maryland, I graduated from McDaniel College with a bachelor's degree in English. Outside of the office, I enjoy running, reading, and hiking with my wife, son, and our mutt hound, Kodi.

Hi, I’m Liz and I’m a fee-only financial planner. I started Primas Financial Planning to help individuals make financial decisions they feel good about and be confident that those choices will prepare them for the future. As the first in my family to graduate from college, I had to navigate a lot of firsts out of necessity, not choice. Like most of my clients, I didn’t learn about personal finance in school, and I’ve had to make decisions based on the information that was available to me. I’ve been fortunate to have accumulated knowledge through various sources. Some of my financial planning knowledge comes from school and work but a lot of lessons were learned from friends, family, my military community, and by making many, many mistakes. I recognize that not everyone is fortunate enough to have this wealth of knowledge at their fingertips and my goal with Primas FP is to help others have the same financial security and peace of mind. I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Financial Consultant, Accredited Financial Counselor and Enrolled Agent. I’ve been working with clients for over 16 years helping them achieve their goals and build their wealth. First and foremost, I’m a fiduciary which means I’ll always put your interests first. Hi, I’m Jeremy Eppley, a fee-only financial planner and investment manager based in Maryland, serving clients virtually across the country. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Towson University, I continued my education, earning a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning. His experience includes a stint on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, a career focused on investments at Brown Advisory and insurance at Securian Financial. During these experiences, he learned that a balanced approach and strategic financial planning is what can help clients achieve their goals. When not talking to clients or researching the next great opportunity for them, Mike & his wife enjoy quiet city living and relaxing whenever their new daughter allows. He loves playing soccer, lacrosse, golf, basketball… and really any sport. When he’s not meeting friends or family at the movies or the local watering hole, you can normally find him reading something very nerdy, like science fiction or financial science.

Hi, I’m Robert Lindstrom, founder of Provision Financial Planning (PFP). My own unique journey has culminated in PFP. Just like it is important for me to understand my clients’ past experience as it relates to money, it’s important that you know my history in this field. I became interested in investing and personal finance at a young age. I was going to do something related to finance but I began my career in 2010 on the heels of the Great Recession. I felt fortunate to find any job, much less one in “financial services”. What a blessing this turned out to be. Beginning my career in “wealth management” planted the seed. It was here where I was encouraged to obtain the CFP designation. This really opened my eyes to the importance of financial planning instead of just investment management. The CFP® designation covers dozens of areas of financial expertise is recognized as the standard of excellence for the financial planning profession. Pursuing this desire to do more than investments, I ended up taking a position that would allow me to do financial planning. However, this position was primarily a commission-driven sales role. While I learned a lot, this was not a good fit for me. It wasn’t all bad. I now have a much better understanding of how various products work (and don’t work) and the sales-driven financial piece of my industry that is unfortunately so prevalent. It was my next role where things really started to take shape. I ended up working at a Fee-Only firm that had deep tax expertise. I immediately felt at home in this fee-only compensation model because I could focus on planning instead of selling. Being a Fee-Only advisor means I don’t sell any financial products for a commission or receive other revenue sharing. This means I’m only compensated directly by my clients, which eliminates many of the conflicts so prevalent in my industry. I’ve also been exposed to several different investment philosophies in my career. A lot of industry experts claim to be able to time the market or identify the next hot sector or stock, either themselves or by picking active funds that try to. The data shows this is unlikely, and even risks large underperformance. While it may sound counterintuitive at first, you’re paying us to prudently manage a portfolio for you instead of seeking to outperform by timing the market. This brief history has culminated in me founding Provision Financial Planning in 2019 as a proud fee-only firm.
