Since I am most passionate about equality for women and the LGBTQ community, I realized that I needed additional skills to make financial planning meet our specific needs. So, I became a certified coach which allows me and my clients to go deeper to explore and clarify their individual values and goals. Once we’ve figured out what their ideal life looks like and what is really important to them, we can create a financial plan designed for them. Anyone who knows me knows of my deep love of pastries. I started my career as a pastry chef, fully embracing my creativity, a love of science and math, and delight in creating delicious concoctions. I loved this career, until one day I had an epiphany: My love of numbers and baking science acumen could be used in better ways to help the world. Turns out I like baking more as a hobby than as a career. No more petit fours! I returned to college as a women studies major determined to help women realize their potential and gain equality. Upon self-reflection I realized that I had a lot of passion but lacked any real skills to make the change in the world that I sought to make. Around this time my grandfather died, and I started helping my grandmother with her finances. We sought out information and together we came up with a financial plan for her new life alone. Helping my grandmother become financially independent was exactly the type of impact I wanted to have on other women’s lives. My career path was born.

I started Collabria Capital because I believe financial planning should be collaborative, transparent, and centered around what truly matters — people’s lives, not just their portfolios. Over the years, I’ve met too many hardworking professionals who’ve done all the “right” things financially but still feel unsure about their future. My goal is to bring clarity and confidence to that picture. Originally from Montreal, I moved to the Bay Area in 1997 and quickly came to appreciate the unique blend of innovation, opportunity, and complexity that defines life here. Omar Chyou is a Wealth Management Advisor with extensive experience providing comprehensive wealth management services that address both sides of his clients’ balance sheets. He works closely with clients to understand their goals and beliefs, helping them pursue their near- and long-term financial objectives. Omar is committed to delivering a high level of service and advice, enabling clients to focus on what matters most to them, including hobbies, family, career, and philanthropy. Omar began his financial services career in 1996, advising high-net-worth individuals and families. He has held positions at several prominent firms such as Wells Fargo Private Bank, Goldman Sachs, and Citi Private Bank. Additionally, he served as Market President for First Western Trust in Denver, Colorado, where he led a team of advisors offering comprehensive advice across investments, lending, banking, financial and estate planning, and insurance. His professional designations include Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ (AWMA™). He is FINRA registered, holds California life insurance licenses, and maintains his NMLS certification. Omar earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and completed his MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. Born and raised in Berkeley to immigrant parents from China and Mexico, he is a Spanish speaker who supports organizations focused on the Latin community and engages in community participation consistent with Merrill’s traditions. Outside of work, Omar spends time with his wife and three children enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing, snowboarding, karting, and target shooting, and pursues his interest as a car enthusiast.

Vandana Devi is a Planning Consultant at Fidelity Investments, where she has been serving since 2025. She began her career at Fidelity Investments in 2023, progressing through roles including Financial Service Representative, Financial Representative, and Relationship Manager before assuming her current position. Prior to joining Fidelity, she worked as a Personal Banker at Fremont Bank from 2020 to 2022. Her professional experience encompasses client relationship management and financial planning, with a focus on empowering clients to make informed decisions and maintain confidence in their financial goals. Vandana holds a California Insurance License, supporting her expertise in insurance-related financial services. Outside of her professional work, Vandana engages in activities such as cooking and baking, outdoor adventures, parenthood, reading, traveling, and writing.
