The Financial Planning Co. exists to improve financial lives. We commonly work with people with retirement planning, notably investment management and income planning. Whether through finding previously unknown opportunities for clients or figuring out how much is enough for those who’re ready to step away or establishing financial ground rules for increasing the odds of success, FPC works hand-in-hand with clients on their way to financial independence. We believe that plans rarely work but planning does. Luke DeBoer has a long history of guiding individuals, families, and corporations in multiple facets of financial planning, including investing, retirement planning, insurance, & employer benefits consulting. To support these efforts, Luke is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, completed the Certified Benefits Professional program, and holds an MBA with a concentration in Tax from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. His professional career includes time at Fidelity Investments as a consultant, leading the financial wellbeing efforts for Delta Air Lines and for UnitedHealth Group, and as a Sr. Relationship Manager at Optum Bank, specializing in HSA’s and their relationship with retirement savings. Luke is married to Gina DeBoer and they have 5 children (Isabella, Veda, Judah, Lucia, Amelia), ages 6-15. They are members at Oakwood Community Church in Waconia. Luke also serves as a Board Member and the Treasurer of the Waconia public school district. Luke is a native Minnesotan, having grown up in the Elk River area.

Arch Spencer is the sole advisor at Spencer Financial Advisors in Plymouth, MN, holding Series 63 and Series 65 licenses with seven years of industry experience. He has been with Spencer Financial Advisors since 1999. Spencer Financial Advisors offers portfolio management and investment advice primarily to individual and high-net-worth clients. The firm employs fundamental analysis and a combination of long-term and short-term trading strategies, focusing on equities, mutual funds, fixed income, ETFs—including precious-metal sector ETFs—and may incorporate options and margin transactions within client portfolios.

Ralph Harrison is the sole advisor at Harrison Capital Management LLC, an independent registered investment adviser based in Minnetrista, MN. He holds a Series 63 designation and has 42 years of industry experience, including nine years at Wunderlich Securities. Outside of his advisory work, he serves as a compensated member of the Mound Westonka School Board. Harrison Capital Management provides discretionary portfolio management and financial planning services to individuals, including high-net-worth clients, as well as pension and profit-sharing plans, trusts, estates, and charitable organizations. Jon Brusven is a CFA® charterholder and the sole advisor at Longship Advisers, LLC, with 12 years of industry experience. He has led Longship Advisers since 2002. In addition to his advisory role, Brusven serves on the boards of several non-investment-related organizations, including a waste-to-energy company and early-stage medical device firms, and acts as financial advisor to the board of USA Energy Group LLC. Longship Advisers, LLC provides third-party investment manager selection and retirement plan consulting to individuals, pension and profit-sharing plans, trusts, estates, charitable organizations, and corporations. The firm operates primarily in a non-discretionary, consultative capacity, focusing on manager selection and monitoring rather than direct portfolio management, and does not take custody or voting proxies for clients.

Aimee Hatlestad is a CFP® with 12 years of industry experience and is the principal advisor at The Hatlestad Group. She previously worked at Bond & Devick Wealth Partners and Bgm Trunorth Wealth Partners, Llc. She serves as Treasurer for the Ripley Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization. The Hatlestad Group provides investment management, financial planning, and consulting services to individuals, including high-net-worth clients, as well as institutional and fiduciary entities.
