Cynthia Karcher is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, bringing over four decades of experience since beginning her career in 1977. She serves as a Portfolio Manager, providing discretionary management of personalized strategies that incorporate individual securities, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment solutions. Leveraging the Total Merrill Platform and a disciplined Wealth Management Process, Cynthia offers tailored strategic recommendations to address clients’ diverse and complex financial needs. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, cum laude, from Dickinson College, where she was recognized as an Anthony Math Scholar and a Dana Scholar. She has completed coursework through the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and maintains multiple FINRA registrations, including Series 3, 7, 8, 63, and 65. Cynthia also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) designation. Her areas of focus include portfolio management, retirement planning, college education planning, family wealth management strategies, and investment consulting for defined contribution plans, among others. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Cynthia has actively contributed to community organizations. She has served on the Board of Trustees of Garvey Manor Our Lady of the Alleghenies and as an Advisory Board member for Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. Cynthia resides in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, with her family and engages in personal interests such as antiquing, biking, gardening, skiing, swimming, tennis, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their three children.
